UNFPA Kyrgyzstan

Despite considerable improvements in sexual and reproductive health and the success of the ongoing health-care reform, the Kyrgyz Republic has one of the highest maternal mortality in the region. UNFPA puts stronger focus to help the country make progress towards reducing maternal mortality and works on integration of reproductive health services into the general health care delivery system. It partners with state agencies on supporting youth-friendly health services and improving data availability and policy formulation around population dynamics, sexual reproductive health and gender equality.
