Waits at borders to leave Ukraine can last for days. At some border crossings, Ukrainians have been assisted by border police and volunteers distributing food and supplies. Between 24 February and 4 March, 390 babies were born in Kyiv: 199 boys and 191 girls. "These are newborn Kyivans who were born in 8 days of war!... Children in the capital are born to live, to create the future of Ukraine!," said Valentyna Ginzburg, director of the Department of Health of Kyiv City State Administration.
