Ending GBV and harmful practices

Job description

The consultant will provide technical expertise and programme assistance in terms of funding and innovative financing for health system strengthening in the context of one of UNFPA’s global innovative partnerships with a private sector entity. To support the needs of the joint programme, UNFPA and Royal Philips developed a financing model for the initiative in the Republic of Congo, to mobilize a mix of public and private resources, including through a revenue model to attract private investments. The financing model includes health macro data to evaluate revenue inputs and cash flows required to support the national scale-up the programme. A first draft of the financing model is currently ready to be reviewed and validated, including through strategic consultations with relevant ministries in the country.

Icons & Activists: 50 years of people making change

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of UNFPA and the 25th of the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development, this book showcases the "change makers" who have made substantial contributions to sexual and reproductive health and rights, and population and development more broadly. The purpose of this book is to give some sense of how much has been achieved through the efforts of so many - and perhaps to offer inspiration for the future.
