Djibouti Humanitarian Emergency

In addition to being a country of transit, Djibouti also serves several tens of thousands of refugees, mainly from Somalia, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Yemen. The COVID-19 pandemic has also contributed to a range of concerns for people across the country, including loss of income and a rise in cases of gender-based violence and sexual exploitation. UNFPA provides GBV prevention activities, supports survivors with medical, psychosocial, material and legal services, and provides a range of sexual and reproductive health services in Djibouti.
