For decades in Mongolia, UNFPA has worked to support the government in the use of population data for policies and programmes to reduce poverty, to ensure that every birth is safe and wanted, to support the sexual and reproductive health and rights of youth, and to address gender-based violence. Ending preventable maternal deaths is key to Mongolia’s overall development and well-being. To that end, UNFPA is working with the government and other stakeholders to provide quality maternal health services and emergency obstetric care.
