Purpose: |
Programme Assistant (PA) for Adolescent and Youth (A&Y) The Programme Assistant contributes to the implementation of UNFPA’s 9th Country Programme (2024-2028) by providing technical and administrative support in the day-to-day management of UNFPA programmes and projects. The PA will be primarily responsible for assisting the Adolescent and Youth Unit in ensuring that UNFPA and implementing partner-executed work plans are prepared and implemented in accordance with the vision and technical direction of the CP and consistent with UNFPA organizational policies and procedures. S/he contributes to the generation of substantive knowledge by compiling, synthesizing, and analyzing relevant information from programme implementation to inform management action. S/he will help coordinate with government, non-governmental organizations, civil society, gender/youth groups, multilateral and bilateral donor agencies, United Nations agencies, and other development/humanitarian organizations. |

The Monthly report described above will be prepared by the Consultant, reviewed, verified and approved by the CSE Coordinator and Media and Communications Analyst. |
Supervisory arrangements: |
The Program Assistant will work under the overall supervision of the Assistant Representative and the direct supervision of the CSE Coordinator. He/she will also work in coordination with the Sexual and Reproductive Health, Population and Development, Gender, Humanitarian, Field, Partnerships and Advocacy, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with the 9th CP outcomes, outputs, and timeline. |

Working closely with the JPARAP Team: UNICEF and WHO and their implementing partners, UNFPA implementing partners such as but not limited to ZFF, CHSI, and other development and humanitarian partners, regional and provincial counterparts of national agencies such as DOH, DepEd, DILG, and local government officials (i.e. governor, mayors, local health bodies, population officers, and SKs) in UNFPA-supported sites and other relevant strategic partners under the 9th CP |
