The Gender Analyst will serve as the focal point for the coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of gender equality and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response initiatives, with a primary focus on the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The Analyst will support the roll-out of gender and GBV-related programmes, track progress, and report on results, while advancing strategies such as policy advocacy, institutional capacity development, community engagement, and the integration of gender perspectives across development, humanitarian, and peacebuilding (triple nexus) efforts. The Gender Analyst will represent UNFPA in relevant coordination mechanisms in BARMM and at the national level, ensuring that gender, GBV, and inclusion issues are consistently addressed in policies, programmes, and humanitarian response plans. The technical and coordination work expected from the Gender Analyst shall be guided by the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023–2028, the Magna Carta of Women, the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) Law, the BARMM Government’s gender and development (GAD) and social sector plans, and the UNFPA 9th Country Programme of Assistance to the Philippines 2024–2028. |
