UNFPA Thailand

Thailand faces key challenges related to population changes sparked by socioeconomic development. A low birth rate is straining human resources for future development, while rapid urbanization is shifting family structures. Centrally located in Southeast Asia, Thailand has also welcomed millions of foreign migrants. UNFPA initiatives help to address the various challenges, with special attention given to the needs of young people amid a high number of adolescent pregnancies.
