UNFPA Cabo Verde

The Republic of Cabo Verde faces some structural economic challenges, mostly due to its location and topography, which were exacerbated by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism – a sector the country largely depends on for income and jobs. UNFPA and its partners have contributed to the country’s development results, supporting new health and education policies and the promotion of gender equality, among other initiatives.
