UNFPA Central African Republic

One of the world’s poorest countries, the Central African Republic has suffered from repeated political crises, creating conflict and instability. UNFPA, based in the country since 1972, provides humanitarian support including reproductive health supplies such as clean delivery kits – containing basic essentials to help pregnant women avoid deadly infections when they cannot get to a health facility – as well as contraceptives and medical equipment.
