Keep lifelines alive
11 December 2025
When the world’s systems falter, UNFPA keeps lifesaving care within reach. From Gaza to Sudan, Haiti to Afghanistan, the reality is stark.
When health facilities are destroyed and funding dries up, women and girls lose safe places to give birth, to seek care after violence, to access contraception, to survive.
Yet even in the hardest crises, UNFPA keeps delivering life-saving services. But the needs are growing and the world cannot look away.
In 2026, sexual and reproductive health care and gender-based violence services are not optional, they are essential for all women and girls in crisis.
UNFPA needs $1 billion to reach 34 million women, girls and young people across 42 countries with urgent, life-saving support.
