UNFPA Condemns Brutal Attack on Courageous Pakistani Girls

 UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, condemns the brutal attack on Malala Yousafzai and two other Pakistani girls who spoke out for the rights of girls to receive an education. The senseless and repugnant act of of violence will not undermine the international community's commitment to gender equality, human rights and equal opportunity everywhere. UNFPA stands in solidarity with the girls whose courage has inspired us all. On this International Day of the Girl Child, UNFPA wishes them a complete and speedy recovery and extends its support for their families.
