UNFPA is responding to the special needs of women and adolescent girls, following the "Super Typhoon Odette" in the Philippines. The response includes providing access to sexual and reproductive health care and information, and protecting women and girls from gender-based violence in typhoon-affected areas.

Ongoing hostilities in Ukraine continue to drive unprecedented levels of displacement both inside the country and across international borders. An estimated 10 million people have fled their homes.

Most of the displaced are women and children who need safety and support every step of the way.

UNFPA is scaling up its response with partners to safeguard the health and rights of women and girls, including to give birth safely and to live free from violence and abuse.
