Guidelines on Collecting Data for SDG Indicator 5.6.1 on Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Decision-making in National Household Surveys

SDG indicator 5.6.1 measures women's decision-making on their sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, including decisions on their own health care, contraceptive use, and the ability to say no to sex. Immediate action is required to increase data coverage and better understand the sexual and reproductive health and rights dynamics in countries where data are limited or nonexistent. This brief provides guidance on collecting data for SDG indicator 5.6.1, incorporating the three questions necessary for calculating the indicator into any upcoming relevant national household surveys.
