Job Summary

Under the overall guidance of the Representative and general supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for broad based support to the successful management of shipping and clearance activities undertaken by UNFPA Ethiopia Country Office. This position will support the country office with procurements, management of shipments, customs clearance, regulatory compliance, import activities and any insurance related matters for reproductive health commodity management in the county office. The Assistant will also support the country office in scheduling deliveries and obtaining Proofs of Delivery (PODs) from clients.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

Completed Secondary Level Education required. BA Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy, Business or Public Administration or similar discipline desirable.

Experience:

  • Five years of progressively responsible procurement, logistics and administrative experience at national and international level.
  • Knowledge of automated procurement systems and experience in handling of web-based management systems.

Language:

Fluency in English.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in current office software applications.
