Job Summary
The Programme Specialist is located in Addis Ababa Country Office (CO) and reports to the UNFPA Assistant Representative.
The Humanitarian Programme Specialist ensures the effective management of UNFPA activities in the areas of population and development, reproductive health and gender in humanitarian settings. S/he oversees project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks. S/he leads the programme team and collaborates with the CO’s operations/administrative support staff.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Advanced degree in health, population, demography and/or other related social science field.
Knowledge and Experience:
At least five years professional experience in the field of SRHR and GBV programming in humanitarian settings, with experience in programme/project management.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required and a working knowledge of Amharic is required.
