Job Summary
The Humanitarian Associate is based in the Damascus, at the UNFPA Country Office (CO) with frequent travel o the field. S/he reports to the Deputy Representative and will work closely with staff and multiple partners.
The Humanitarian Associate supports CO in assessment of humanitarian situation, identification of needs, and preparation and implementation of the humanitarian response plans, in coordination with other humanitarian actors, implementation partners and Government. Represent UNFPA in the Access Working Group and other relevant humanitarian coordination fora.
Education:
Completed Secondary Level Education required. First level university degree desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
Six years of relevant experience in administration, finance or office management.
Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT financial systems.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
