Indonesia has achieved middle income status thanks to its development policies, but pockets of poverty persist across this large island nation. UNFPA supports the government in its global commitments to improving maternal health and achieving universal access to reproductive health. It also supports priorities related to population dynamics, sexual and reproductive health and rights, family planning, gender equality, and the rights of adolescents and youth.
