Funds & Programmes

Beyond regular contributions, donors can provide funding earmarked for specific projects or areas. These include:

  • Thematic funds: Focused on particular issues (e.g., health, education).
  • UN-pooled and inter-agency mechanisms: Funds combining resources from multiple UN agencies for coordinated efforts.
  • Regional programs and initiatives: Targeting specific geographic areas.
  • National funding instruments: Support projects within a single country.

We also form strategic partnerships to support long-term projects and provide aid in humanitarian crisis settings. Additionally, structured funding dialogues offer a platform for member states to better understand UNFPA's funding needs and how resources are being used.
