The Executive Board of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS will meet from 25-28 August, with the UNFPA segment including a discussion of the Strategic Plan 2026–2029 and other budgetary and administrative issues. Country programme documents will also be presented for approval.
The Executive Board provides intergovernmental support and supervision of the activities of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS, in accordance with the policy guidance of the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council and the UN Charter. The board ensures that UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS remain responsive to the evolving needs of programme countries. It supports the work of UNFPA in delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.
