Lao People's Democratic Republic

The Lao People’s Democratic Republic is a diverse country with dozens of ethnic groups, many residing in hard-to-reach mountainous areas. UNFPA has been offering support since 1976, responding to the needs of women and the growing youth population, working to reduce maternal mortality, and focusing on sexual and reproductive health, needs, choices and rights.
