This document presents a UNFPA's Strategic Framework on Gender Mainstreaming and the Empowerment of Women. It reflect lessons learned from a 2008-2009 Capacity Assessment exercise, as well as the need for an increased focus on gender in the context of addressing the goals of the International Conference on Population and Development.
