South Sudan Country Office Situation Report #62 - 19 June 2015

The security situation within the country has been very volatile and unpredictable the past weeks. The spread of conflict caused massive population displacement and disrupted humanitarian aid deliveries as aid organizations were forced to withdraw from war zones.

Efforts to reach political solution to the South Sudanese crisis continued by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and the international community.

The draft peace agreement proposal by IGAD was not accepted by the parties involved in the South Sudanese conflict. IGAD has not yet announced the next date for the resumption of peace talks.
