Research on factors that determine women’s ability to make decisions about sexual and reproductive health and rights

This report contains action-oriented research on what determines women’s decision-making. It looks at how countries have successfully supported women’s sexual and reproductive autonomy, and the implications for UNFPA’s work. The findings outline the key factors that determines women's ability to decide and that must be addressed in any programming and policy intervention. The research includes important insights along with interventions with positive impact, an overview of who is being left behind and key recommendations going forward.

An issue brief is also available to summarize this research.
