EN ES FR

Following years of war that left Angola in disarray, the country in recent decades has seen solid economic growth, but inequities persist, with many Angolans mired in poverty and high rates of maternal mortality and teenage pregnancy. Since 1978, UNFPA has been working to increase access to reproductive health services, including family planning and treatment of obstetric fistula, as well as to improve access to HIV prevention services. It also works to increase gender equality and to ensure sustainable population growth and development through improved availability of reliable information.
