Job description

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Representative, the GBV Programme Coordinator will be based in Erbil to provide oversight and coordination of all UNFPA’s matters related to GBV.

Job Purpose

Overall coordination for effective and efficient implementation of GBV component of UNFPA contribution to the UN Strategic Response Plan (SRP) for the IDP crisis, and the UN Regional Response and Resilience Plan (RRRP) for the Syrian Refugees. 

Education: 

·         Advanced University degree in gender, population, social sciences

Knowledge and Experience:

·         7 years of relevant professional experiences in humanitarian technical assistance, programming and management gender or population and development.

·         Knowledge of UNFPA humanitarian Fast Track procedures is an advantage

·         Experience in working in hardship fragile context is an advantage

·         Proficiency in current office software applications

Languages:

·         Fluency in English is required. Good knowledge of Arabic is an asset
