Job Summary

The evolving situation in Syria following six years of crisis resulted in a devastating impact on the developmental progress attained by the country. Under the existing humanitarian structure UNFPA have presented a strong stand on creating and supporting the GBV sub sector.

UNFPA country office developed a multi-donor program on GBV to meet the needs of women and girls in Syria. The program reached more than 267,605 women and girls in the year of 2016, providing basic GBV comprehensive services. The number of women safe spaces established is consistently growing increase reach to target populations since 2014 while multiple successful campaigns have been conducted throughout Syria.

With substantial financial support from donors, the UNFPA CO prioritized the deployment of monitoring and evaluation assistance to support monitoring implementation of activities and fed into evaluation processes for the donor funds aiming at strengthening GBV prevention and response.

Education: University degree in relevant field

 Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in the public or private sector; previous experience in a humanitarian project or the UN system is an asset.

· Experience in report writing and infographic is a must

  Language Requirements:   Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic mother tongue.
