Job description

Position Summary:

The Non-Core Funds Management Unit allows UNFPA to meet increasing donor’s expectations by providing robust qualitative and quantitative analysis and reporting on UNFPA’s activities related to the resources. The unit separates the technical/programmatic and operational/financial aspects of non-core funds management in order to strengthen accountability and transparency in the management of resources.

Requirement and Qualifications:

Education: 

Advanced University Degree or equivalent in business administration or related fields (e.g. economics, finance).

Knowledge and Experience:

10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the area of management, finance, or economics; experience in inter-governmental or international non-profit organizations, including programme implementation at country level and management of trust funds or non-core resources

Languages: 

Excellent written and oral knowledge of English is required: The knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish and Russian) is an asset.

Other Desirable Skills:

Initiative, strong conceptual abilities, sound judgment, strong interest in development work, especially the mission of the United Nations Population Fund and dedication to the principles of the United Nations. Experience at the field level is highly desirable.
