The quality assurance of UNFPA’s programme is coordinated from the Policy and Strategy Division (PSD) in New York within the Operational Support & Quality Assurance Branch (OSQAB) by Regional
Desk Specialists. The consultant will be integrated within the OSQAB team, and will support the duties of the Regional Desk Specialist for West and East Africa.

A dedicated programme support is required to achieve results in a timely manner in 2020, including continued progress against Global Intervention Action plan indicators (Strategic Plan 2018-2021). This support will be critical in tracking, following up on, and contributing to the performance analysis of Global and Regional Interventions. In addition, this consultancy will take on additional substantive work relating to the Mid-term Review of the Strategic Plan process, particularly the Mid-term Review of Global and Regional Interventions as an integral part of the entire review process. The consultant will be used in a polled manner to support, as and when required, the work of other branches in PSD and that of the Directorate, specifically as may be required in the context of the mid-term review of the strategic plan.
